Draught from the window, a cold frame or street noise getting in? We seal PVC and wooden windows: first we check the pressure, then replace a worn seal if needed. Seal replacement from 20 zł per running metre, and the cost of sealing a whole window is agreed on site.

Draught near the frame
You feel cold air with the window closed.
Cold frame in winter
The window chills quickly and you clearly feel the cold.
Hard or cracked seal
Over time the rubber hardens, shrinks and stops sealing.
Seal coming off the profile
It falls out of the groove or peels away at the corners.
Street noise
A leaky window lets in more sound from outside.
Steam and moisture on the window
Sometimes ventilation is missing. We can install an air vent.
How we seal a window
We check the pressure
First we check that the draught is not just misadjusted hardware.
We adjust the hardware
If that is enough, adjustment solves it without new parts.
We replace the seal
When the seal is worn, we fit a new one around the whole sash or frame.
We check the result
We close the window and check that the draught is gone.

Frequently asked questions
Is sealing a window the same as replacing the seal?
Not always. We first check the pressure and hardware adjustment, and replace the seal when it is worn or damaged.
How can I tell whether my window leaks?
Close a sheet of paper in the window. If it slides out without resistance, the pressure or the seal is not enough. A draught you can feel with your hand is another good sign.
Do you seal wooden windows?
Yes. We seal both PVC and wooden windows. For wooden windows we agree the scope and cost after inspecting the window.
Will sealing help with noise and cold?
A tight window reduces draughts and part of the outside noise. It will not replace a new window with better glazing, though.
